Smart-City Management & Technology Major
The Smart-City Management & Technology programme is now offered as a track within the Information Systems major starting AY2023.
Cities around the world are evolving into connected and technology-enabled societies. Smart cities are those that use technology to make a positive impact on the lives of people, as well as businesses and the environment.
Our Smart-City Management and Technology programme offers unique interdisciplinary pathways to develop the skills necessary for solving problems in the smart-city domain, including the key ingredients of technology, social computing, and management.
The curriculum equips students with a broad range of skills, including in data analytics, solution development, web development, sustainability, and operations research, along with the ability to perform evidence-based reasoning on policy and the societal implications of smart-city innovations.
