Ellipsis is the student representative body of the School of Computing & Information Systems (SCIS).
In language, Ellipsis is a literary device that is used in narratives to give the reader a chance to fill the gaps. It is usually written after a sentence as “…”. Ellipsis helps in advancing the story. The part of a sentence or an event that is left out by substituting it with ellipses is often used as a stylistic element, allowing the reader to fill in the gaps using their imagination.
As a school, we embody the meaning of ellipsis as our students have unlimited potential, only limited by our imagination. Ellipsis is also used in programming languages. In some programming languages (Ruby, Haskell, Perl etc.), ellipsis is an operator that is used to represent a range of values given two endpoints. Similarly, we have identified 3 values that we feel all our students should strive to exhibit.
