The case study “Data analytics at Alexandra Health System: A new journey in healthcare” documented how Lau Wing Chew, Chief Transformation Officer of Alexandra Health System (AHS) in Singapore, implemented several administrative improvements using data analytics. His team in the Health Analytics Unit had introduced initiatives such as the operating theatre dashboard, ageing-in-place programme, and several population health plans, to address key challenges such as the shortage of beds and the excess demand for subsidised in-patient beds, on top of improving the home environment of patients
