Event platform company Hapz – co-founded by SMU alumni Lai Xin Chu (Bachelor of Science, Information Systems) and Kendrick Wong (Bachelor of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Management) – has raised seed funding of $680,000 from Cocoon Capital, SPH Media Fund, Quest Ventures, TinkBig Venture and an angel investor. Hapz helps users save on tickets for attractions and events. As users interact with different events on the platform, Hapz will also be able to target them with relevant events and deals.
