SMU hosted the second episode of Perspectives Season 8 “Responsible Artificial Intelligence (A.I.): How to save humanity from the dark side of A.I.?” on 7 March 2019 which featured an esteemed panel of thought leaders including Pradeep Reddy Varakantham, Associate Professor of Information Systems and Coordinator, BSc (IS) Artificial Intelligence Track. The panel spoke on the potential of A.I., while addressing the audience’s concerns regarding the ethics of A.I., as well as the unintended consequences that came along with its rise.
