There is still a big demand for information and technology type of courses, observed through figures provided by local universities. SMU Provost, Professor Timothy Clark said that overall, there is a 10% increase in the number of applications this year. However, for SMU’s School of Information Systems, there is a close to 30% increase in applications, with special interest in the newly launched computing science course.
