On the issue of phishing, SMU student Wan Ding Yao, President of SMU Whitehat Society, advised individuals not to fill in any financial information when asked to do so because many reputable companies will not ask for financial details over a simple email. He added that if in doubt, it is advisable to do a check through Google search or contact the company to verify.
