SMU Assistant Professor of Information Systems Wang Qiuhong studied how different Autonomous Systems (ASes) connect to and are interdependent on other ASes for routing traffic, and characterised the interdependence in terms of critical information infrastructure crossing organisational and national boundaries. The project also explored the online sharing of hacking techniques, investigating its impact on cybersecurity threats and evaluating the policy implications related to online knowledge sharing of hacking techniques.
