SMU SCIS alumnus Ahmad Firdaus Daud will take over the grassroots responsibilities of former Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Associate Professor Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, in Kembangan from 1 September 2026. After graduating, he joined the civil service, first with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and then with the then Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS). Mr Ahmad Firdaus changed his career path to become a lawyer after completing the Juris Doctor (JD) programme at the SMU Law School.
