Muhammad Irfan Mohamed Awi was featured for taking care of his son, Muhammad Danish Muhammad Irfan, as a single father while his son battled lymphoma. While Danish struggled with keeping up in school due to his illness, he took on extra modules in order to catch up and did well enough to receive offers in computing courses from four local universities. Danish will be joining SMU’s School of Computing and Information Systems in August.
