SMU Associate Professor of Computer Science Zhu Feida moderated a panel discussion at the 2026 FutureChina Global Forum on 25 September 2026. During the panel discussion, he pointed out that AI auditing is a key area of concern, as large models can produce different outputs even when given the same prompt, making auditing and verification challenging. He said the key question in the future may be not which model is the most capable, but whether its outputs can be trusted, including whether its data sources are reliable and auditable and its results verifiable. Assoc Prof Zhu added that AI security is complicated and extends beyond individuals and individual companies, requiring broader attention to data reliability, auditability and verification.
