Synopsis
In this talk, Gaurang Torvekar, the co-founder and CTO of Indorse, is going to be speaking about the way blockchain technology can revolutionise the education sector. He is going to be speaking about his own experiences throughout Attores and Indorse, where he piloted the use of blockchain based digital certificates at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and grew out the idea to Indorse, where he is building a digital backpack for users to store their skills based professional profiles

About the Speaker
Gaurang Torvekar is the Co-Founder and CTO of Indorse, a Social Network for Professionals, completely on the blockchain. He has been working in the Blockchain space from the last 2.5 years, and this is his second company in the space. He is based in Singapore and is the co-organizer of the Ethereum Singapore Meetup. He is considered one of the thought leaders in the blockchain space in South East Asia. He has applied Smart Contracts in various different areas, right from his own Prenup on the blockchain to the issuing of Digital Diplomas on the blockchain. Gaurang is an alumnus of SMU, having completed his Masters in Applied Information Systems degree.
