Dear SIS Students,
IS484: Project Experience [FinTech] is launching in AY2020/21 Term 1. This SMU-X course is offered in partnership with Citi Ventures, under the Citi® University Partnerships in Innovation & Discovery (CUPID) programme. This partnership marks the first time that CUPID is extending the programme to a university in Asia.
Students taking this module will be paired with mentors from Citi Ventures and SMU faculty and will work on a variety of technology-related projects that may include developing new product ideas, crafting unique customer experience solutions, and building functional prototypes leveraging blockchain, machine learning and artificial intelligence, among other technologies.
For this first run, in Term 1, Citi Ventures is sponsoring the following 5 projects:

IS484 is a good alternative to IS483 for teams that have not yet settled on a project or sponsor. The projects for IS484 are predefined, and you just need to show up on Week 1 for the orientation and project assignments. Even if you do not already have a team, we will form teams on Week 1. FT track students will have priority to bid for this course, but students from all tracks are encouraged to bid.
