About The Talk
For centuries, we have lived in a world of centralized finance. However, there are several Key limitations for Centralized Financial Systems. With lower trust costs, decentralized systems can offer considerable potential for solving the problems in centralized systems. Also, with the booming of cryptocurrency and the Web3 industry, it is urgent to analyze it and govern the market to build a healthier environment. In this proposal, we transform the crypto transaction history into transaction networks. Using graph metrics, we explore trading behaviors and wealth distribution to analyze the decentralization evolution in the BTC transaction system. Also, we build two systems to detect different illicit activities in real-time and unveil addresses' intentions during these malicious behaviors. This proposal can be useful for basic crypto network profiling and give insights into various downstream tasks.
