About the Talk

In an era where machines increasingly read, interpret, and even respond to human emotion, the question is no longer if artificial emotional intelligence will shape leadership—but how. This talk explores the intersection of affective computing and management, asking what it means when algorithms begin to assess, coach, and even emulate states and traits once considered uniquely human—like charisma. The talk takes us into the core of Artificial Emotional Intelligence, unpacking both the analysis and synthesis of human emotions in multimedia—from voice to facial expression to full-body behaviour. With the rise of large foundation models, we explore how emotion-awareness is emerging in AI systems, and what this means for management, leadership assessment, and human-AI interaction. From decoding emotional tone in virtual meetings to generating empathic avatars and coaching tools, we discuss the powerful opportunities—and ethical complexities—of emotional AI in the business world. Join us for a journey into the future of AI for management, where empathy meets engineering, and where your leadership style might just be answered or shaped by a machine.
