Synopsis

The banking industry has business, customer and operational data. The question is how does a bank leverage on these data into actionable insights for betterment of customer delivery, operational efficiency and cost effectiveness of business. The speakers will share their point-of-views and experience on harvesting data for business performance.

 

About the Speakers

Mr. Alok Kumar

Alok has a total of 21 years of International experience in driving customer focused business and operations transformations within Financial Services – both consumer and corporate banking with leading Technology, Consulting and Bank. In his current role, Alok is responsible to run analytics team to deliver data science initiatives and bring data culture for Institutional Banking Operations to maximize use of data covering 14 markets.


Dr. Benxu Liu

Benxu is a data scientist from DBS, focusing on digital transformation and data science initiatives. Before joining DBS, he works in various risk management areas in both bank and stock exchange, covering market/credit risk, capital and collateral. Further before, he was a software programmer and designer back in China. Benxu has a PhD degree from NTU on statistical signal processing/Machine learning. He has obtained the bachelor’s degree in automation and master’s degree in system engineering on operational research from Huazhong University and Science and Technology, China.
