SMU and DHL launched the Green Transformation Lab on 9 May 2013 at SMU. The collaboration focuses on the creation of innovative solutions to help organisations transform their businesses towards sustainable green growth and drive beneficial change in supply chains across the region. This joint DHL-SMU initiative will fulfil its mission through education, research and best-practice development.
The Green Transformation Lab aims to:
- raise awareness of greener and more sustainable operations;
- build and test new capabilities that empower organisations with knowledge, best practices and tools to achieve their sustainability goals; and
- support transformation initiatives at both industry and organisational levels through innovative methods and advanced technologies.
The laboratory will be housed at SMU’s School of Information Systems (SIS), with two co-Directors – namely, Ms Kar Way Tan, Academic Director, SIS, SMU and Stephan Schablinski, Director, Sustainable Supply Chain Solutions, DHL.
