In a Business Times’ Thought Leadership article, SMU School of Information Systems Associate Dean (Research) and Deputy Director of the SMU-Carnegie Mellon Living Analytics Research Centre (LARC), Professor Robert J. Kauffman warns of the hidden dangers of digital intermediaries, especially with regards to privacy. He highlighted that SMU’s research projects are intended to help business and government leaders in Singapore and elsewhere understand and address the dangers of digital intermediaries. For example, information security research is a special competency at the SMU School of Information Systems that touches on the potential problems with such firms.
