Singapore will increasingly focus on developments in Sichuan

SMU and Sichuan University (SCU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the 17th Singapore-Sichuan Trade and Investment Committee meeting in Chengdu on 29 August 2016 – the signing ceremony was witnessed by Manpower Minister Lim Swee Say and Acting Minister for Education (Schools) Ng Chee Meng. The MoU will focus on long-term research collaboration and talent development in Big Data and Urban Logistics between SMU’s Fujitsu-SMU Urban Computing & Engineering (UNiCEN) Corp Lab and SCU’s Institute of Service Management. [Both parties will also explore setting up an Urban Logistics Management Institute, organising mutual visits and joint workshops for master’s degree students, doctorate students and researchers based on the relevant research topics.]
