Nielsen Data Scientist shares with SMU 2nd Major Analytics students on various data analysis techniques in the market research industry

Data Scientist Whye Loon Tung spoke about the various techniques in data analysis that are used by the market research industry. Together with the data science team from Nielsen Singapore office, he delivered a talk at NAKA auditorium for students of analytics foundations at SMU.

This briefing included details on the evolution of data science projects from requirements gathering  to implementation. An emphasis was placed on the iterative nature of the entire process where analysts need to test and try out multiple techniques before choosing the best way to solve a problem.

Overall the talk was thoroughly enjoyed by the students who found it to be very insightful and interesting!
