Leon Lim, Lim Jun Yan and Melvin Leong recently graduated from SMU with Bachelor of Science (Information Systems) degrees. During their studies they were supervised by Associate Professor of Information Systems (Practice) and Academic Director, SMU-TCS iCity Lab Tan Hwee Pink for a project which investigated how Internet of Things (IoT) technology can assist elderly patients maintain good health, allowing them to live in their own homes independently and reduce the need for hospitalisation. In an interview, the alumni said, “The project will continue with the next batch of SMU students and we hope they can progress the project to really add value to Singaporeans health needs.”
