400 taxi drivers involved in SMU pilot project to help them find passengers faster

The Fujitsu-SMU Urban Computing and Engineering Corporate Lab has co-developed the Driver Guidance System which can suggest the approximate time and location where the probability of picking up passengers is the highest, thereby reducing empty cruising by taxis. The app has been downloaded by 400 taxi drivers since the pilot was launched three months ago.
