Cat-and-mouse game with rats goes high-tech

Pestech Holding signed an agreement with SMU research laboratory earlier this month as part of an effort to utilise technology to eradicate pests such as rats from shopping malls. The agreement will see Pestech providing anonymous rodent data for SMU to analyse so that pest control firms can better understand rodent behaviour and trap them more effectively. Mr Francis Lim, business relations manager for SMU LiveLabs Urban Lifestyle Innovation Platform, said, “It is an evolving problem and we want to study and better understand it.”
