This SMU grad's app is the 'Amazon Prime for mama shops' - just raised $450,000 funding

SMU alumnus Enam Chowdry, who majored in Information System and Finance, created an app powered by blockchain and artificial intelligence to help small, family-owned businesses transform in this competitive technology-driven world. He started EkkBaz after a five-year stint in Microsoft in order to empower community-based entrepreneurs to prosper and create more job opportunities in the community. EkkBaz has been likened to an Amazon Prime for small, family-run grocery stores in India.
