In an interview on the impact of digital technology and businesses and how educational institutions are dealing with the demands for digitally skilled workers, SMU School of Information Systems' (SIS) Associate Dean and Professor of Information Systems (Education) Venky Shankararaman shared how SMU SIS has revamped its curriculum to introduce new course tracks, aligned with emerging technology areas like business analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital transformation. He also highlighted key challenges faced by businesses in their digital transformation journey such as a lack of digitalisation strategy and expertise.
