On the recent SingHealth's Committee of Inquiry (COI) report, SMU Associate Professor of Information Systems Gao Debin shared his views on the report and the safeguards that could have been taken to prevent the cyberattack. This includes strengthening database servers with stronger passwords for protection as well as securing front-end workstations with updated anti-virus software and educating and equipping staff with the knowledge on how to react to phishing emails.
