Commenting on the 13 technical measures recommended by the Public Sector Data Security Review Committee to better protect citizens' sensitive personal information, SMU Associate Professor of Law Eugene Tan said that while the Government is trying to instil confidence in its ability to handle data, it also raises the question of why the measures were not implemented earlier.
