Kevin Chu, who is waiting to enter SMU, opened a do-it-yourself monochrome photo studio Fotomat in April. He started with just two to three bookings a day, and within a month, the DIY photo studio went viral on TikTok. Business is so brisk that Kevin has opened a second branch in Keong Saik Road. Fotomat will be collaborating with global brands to organise pop-up set-ups in the new space. He also hopes to use the studio as a retail showcase for small brands and artists.
