SMU Professor of Computer Science Pradeep Reddy attended a high-level roundtable session in Singapore on 28 July 2025, where Andhra Pradesh's Education, IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh outlined an ambitious vision for the future of education and skill development. Speaking at the session titled “Skills to Competencies: Accelerating Workforce Transformation”, Mr Lokesh emphasised the importance of industry-academia partnerships and commended Singapore institutions such as SMU and SUTD for aligning education with real-world demands. He also expressed interest in collaborating with SMU’s CARE.AI Lab and NUS to advance AI research and innovation, while enhancing global exposure for students through exchange programmes and joint research initiatives.
