Dell InnovateFest 2025 brought together 55 finalists from 10 polytechnics and autonomous universities across Singapore. Finalists were chosen, either from school-level competitions such as Dell InnovateDash and Dell Cloud Native Award or nominated by their lecturers to represent their institutions.
The competition culminated in a grand finals on 29 September 2025 at the National Gallery Singapore, where finalist teams presented their solutions to a panel of judges. The final competition provided a unique platform for students to apply their technical skills to real-world problems, receive mentorship from industry experts and compete for a grand prize of SGD 10,000 for each of the winning polytechnic and university teams.
A team of BSc (Information Systems) students comprising Saurabh Maskara, Kendrick Poon, Isaiah Chia, Arin Mak, Kevin Tan and Ryan Bangras, won the top prize in the university category with their Interstellar app. The app uses bots to identify youths on platforms like Discord and Reddit who may be showing signs of anxiety or depression, and connects them to Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) resources.
