
On 29 September 2025, Fudan University (FDU) and SMU will jointly organise the “2025 FDU-SMU Forum on AI, Digital Governance and Sustainable Societies” at Fudan University, China, as an interdisciplinary and cross-border dialogue at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), digital governance, and sustainable development. The forum will commence with opening addresses by FDU Vice President Professor Chen Zhimin and SMU President Professor Lily Kong.
In one of the keynote presentations, SMU Associate Professor of Computer Science Zhu Feida, also Associate Dean of School of Computing and Information Systems and recipient of the Aptos Move Professorship, will explore innovative pathways for “Collaborative Intelligence & Tokenised Economy for Sustainable Digital Future”. The forum will conclude with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement by FDU President Professor Jin Li and Prof Kong to launch a joint research programme on Digital Technology and Society, supported by a virtual hub at SMU and a physical laboratory at FDU.
