Programme Structure & Curriculum

Curriculum Composition

The minimum duration of the programme is 1.5 years. The maximum candidature is 3 years.

The curriculum consists of a master thesis [12 Credit Units (CUs)] and coursework comprising of courses and Empirical Research Projects, making a total of 20 CUs for graduation requirement.

You need to clear 3 ERPs in your research area and the 4th ERP could be one ERP/course in the other research area.

Year 1: In general, the student will spend Year 1 completing all coursework requirements. Terms 1 and 2 of Year 1 will be spent on completing the foundation and elective courses as well as the Empirical Research Projects. Term 3 will be spent on preparation for the thesis proposal and formation of thesis committee chaired by the thesis supervisor.

Year 2: In general, the student will spend Year 2 working on and completing the thesis.
