Synopsis

An Introduction to the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN)

Interest in the BIAN service operation standard is expanding from its original roots in Europe as its membership of banks and solution providers grows internationally. Guy Rackham, the BIAN Chief Architect, will outline BIAN’s mission, goals and organization. The session will also describe the specific design approach the BIAN membership has developed to define its banking industry standard and outline recent case studies where BIAN specifications have been applied by banks for targeted solution delivery and to leverage the cloud.

About the Speaker

Mr Guy Rackham

Guy Rackham is the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) Chief Architect for 6 years with 30 years overall experience in finance and technology specializing in business architecture approaches. Prior to his time at BIAN, Guy led the development of Component Business Modeling (CBM), a widely used consulting model within IBM where he was a Distinguished Engineer – the first appointed in their strategy and change consulting practice.
