SMU Master of IT in Business augments its Analytics and Financial Services Analytics Tracks’ offering with Harvard Business School’s HBX Credential of Readiness (CORe) online programme. In a new collaboration with HBX, Harvard Business School’s digital learning initiative, SMU is the first ASEAN educational institution to incorporate HBX (CORe) into its master’s programme. Through this collaboration, SMU students will be able to take CORe’s digital courses, which are developed and taught by Harvard Business School’s faculty.

My interest in Data analytics had piqued from a Business Intelligence class I took during my Bachelor's studies when my professor illustrated how we can use a large amount of unstructured data to draw useful insights that aid effective and informed decision making. The idea that Data science can function as a novel approach to solving complex business problems or a way to reveal new opportunities for businesses enthralled me greatly. Such first insight into how computer engineers approach real-world problems incited me to delve deeper into the field and led me to pursue MITB Analytics program at SMU.
