We are pleased to announce that SMU School of Information Systems has entered into a Sequential Masters Degree Advanced Standing Programme with Melbourne School of Engineering at the University of Melbourne (UoM) on 13th Sep 2018.
Through this collaboration, MITB graduates will have the opportunity to earn an UoM Master of Information Systems (MIS) degree in one year (by completing 8 subjects), instead of the typical two years (by completing 16 subjects). This is made possible by the 100 points earned which is equivalent to 1 year credit waiver into UoM MIS programme, as students begin study from the 2nd year of the UoM MIS programme to earn the remaining 100 points.
To be eligible for this scheme, you must have graduated from MITB from 2012 onwards, and the criteria for admission to the UoM MIS programme is as follows:
- Successfully complete and graduated with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 from MITB
- Completed courses as set out in Table 1 below to earn 100 points (1 year credit waiver) to MIS.
- Satisfy all language and admission requirements of Melbourne based on Melbourne Course’s website
