In the opening speech delivered at innovfest unbound – the anchor event of the Smart Nation Innovations Week, Minister for Communications and Information S. Iswaran announced the award of a $4.5 million research grant by Infocomm Media Development Authority and the National Research Foundation to SMU School of Law to conduct a five-year research programme on the Governance of Artificial Intelligence and Data Use. The programme will be conducted by a new research centre to be set up and housed at SMU School of Law.
