SMU Associate Professor of Information Systems Zhu Feida stated that there have been some applications of the popular blockchain technology in logistics and charity in China but its use has been limited in the current Wuhan virus outbreak. Given the unique nature of the outbreak, Assoc Prof Zhu claimed the use of blockchain for logistics of medical supplies could prove to be a challenge with the lack of past applications in the area.
